|Miles Davis, trumpet.
Miles always embraced change and innovation. His music spans many decades and many styles. He got his start playing with Charlie Parker. Miles was a pioneer of “cool” playing and using space, and experimented with synthesizers later in his career. His passion for music has made a legend who had influence on many other legends after him.
|Charlie “Bird” Parker, alto saxophone.
Bird was the greatest saxophone player of all time. He created bebop along with Dizzy Gillespie. Music was not the same after Bird. His lines are beautifully melodic and fast. They are packed with feeling and emotion. Charlie had his own sound, no matter what saxophone he used. One might practice their whole life and never play as well as Bird.
